The Indian washing machines market is of the size of nearly 5 million units worth Rs.5000 cores both auto and semi-automatic segment. The semi-automatic segment dominates market having share of over 60 percent and this segment is more popular in North India. After CTV/LED the second preferable purchase is for either refrigerator or the washing machine, both in rural and urban and semi-urban areas.
In the washing machine segment, T-Series has launched several new offerings. The company has added attractive range of semi-automatic machines in digital glass lid with damper facility, especially for consumers in the rural and semi-urban areas.
