Daikin has commenced production at its second air conditioning factory in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The new USD 310 million, 160,000 m² facility has the capacity to manufacture 50,000 VRV units, 100,000 cassette units, 20,000 ductable units, and 1000 chillers.

Yoshihiro Mineno, Daikin’s senior executive officer and GM – Global Operations Division, described the investment as a step toward becoming an unstoppable brand in India.

Center of excellence. Daikin Airconditioning India has also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Manav Rachna University to establish a Daikin center of excellence on the university campus. This tie-up will ensure hands on practical exposure for the students and help them acquire the new technologies being practiced in the air conditioning industry including the VRV, refrigerant, and inverter technology.
